4SP spent a day investigating bacteria as part of the SAW project. We collected soil samples and used petri-dishes with agar to grow the bacteria.
After break we used images of different species of bacteria to inspire us to write poems. This was an excellent opportunity for the children to be creative with their writing. After lunch we created some wonderful art using a variety of artistic techniques and media.
4SP have been selected to perform at the Open venue. We haven’t decided on our routine yet but the class have already practised some moves with Lisa from the Sports Partnership.

4SP have made a great start to the 2017-2018 academic year. During the busy first half-term, we visited West Stow Anglo-Saxon village and developed our understanding of experimental archaeology; as we prepare to re-create our own replica Anglo-Saxon village. Here are some photos:
